It seems every Episcopal Church I try has contemporary with Christian rock music, big screen prayer readings with modern text and children running amock in the aisles. I just don't connect spiritually to this mess, and my kids are so distracted by all the sideshows that they are not learning how to pray and concentrate on the Bible readings. What happened??? Asked by Signilda - Tue Sep 23 15:59:44 2008 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments A. I was raised in a very traditional Episcopal church (which remains that way). When I married, I moved to another state, and the Episcopal churches around here are like you described. I can't stand it! On this website, you can find churches by zip code, and you can check out the churches' websites to see what they're all about before you attend. Hope that helps. Good luck! Answered by TruthSeeker - Tue Sep 23 16:07:17 2008 Is it weird to put Christian devotional and prayer books in the bathroom? Q. I went into the washroom today and saw that my mom had put a devotional book and two other Christian books about prayer ontop of hte toilet. I asked her about it and she gave me this look, like I shouldn't have anything to say about it, idk. I'm not even Christian, but my mom and her husband are both very religious and spiritual. do you think this is at all disrespectful? not to me, but just to the religion itself...and just odd? Q. Where in the older versions of the Book of Common Prayer is there mention of, basically, how God created many levels of life, and that He doesn't want anything placed on one level to get to another level, or something along those lines? Asked by Rakta V - Thu Feb 12 16:05:21 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. read the bible, studied it and cannot think of any where it says that. The whole bible's focus was on meekness, picking men who were the most humble men of the earth then making them kings. Mosses was the meekest of all the men in the earth. So he was chosen to lead the people. The people God choose to serve him were slaves, who were elevated to free men and women. Paul focused on the fact that if you were called as a slave don't be worried about getting free because your reward would be in heaven, not on this earth. That is the only place that might be misconstrued that way.
